Course Information

Introduction

This course starts with an overview of Strategy, and the issues and difficulties surrounding the traditional mode of its implementation.

It then introduces the Balanced Scorecard which is rapidly gaining popularity. Its value proposition is linking Strategy to Operations.

The Project Portfolio Management system is then introduced to prioritize the Strategic Initiatives and allocate resources to them accordingly.

The beauty of the Balanced Scorecard is that it is scalable and can be cascaded from the corporate level to the divisions, departments, and even individuals.

Objectives

The objective of the program is to introduce the participants to the Balanced Scorecard concept and system, so that they would appreciate its uses and the value it brings to the organization.

This will enable them to advocate the use of the Balanced Scorecard in their organizations if it is not there, and manage it more effectively, if it has already been implemented.

The Project Portfolio Management technique is also introduced, with its increasingly wider use, where the benefit of integrating it with the Balanced Scorecard is realized
